VACI Featured Innovation: Predictive Analytics for Remote Patient Monitoring
The VA Center for Innovation (VACI) funded development of technology that enables doctors to remotely monitor patient vital signs via wireless devices worn by patients at home. Analytics compare the data to personalized patient profiles to detect early warning signs of developing health issues, driving up quality and reducing cost of care. VA piloted the system at the Salt Lake City VA and is moving forward with wider use.
